Woodland Bird Photography Course

This session is set up for you to capture great photographs of woodland bird on a private estate close to the Holt and the North Norfolk coast. After an early rise you’ll visit a purpose built hide and stake out in wait for the birds to arrive. The area has been set up with wildlife photography in mind and offers opportunities to photograph many birds including notoriously shy and difficult to photograph species such as the great spotted woodpecker and nuthatch. There is also the possibility to photograph other species which inhabit the area including common buzzard, barn owl, red fox, red deer, muntjac deer, roe deer, grey squirrel, stoat, hare, and rabbit.

This course can be taken either as hide hire only (2 people max) or as a 1:1 session. If you are a beginner to photography I recommend first taking the Introduction to wildlife photography course to master the skills required as a prerequisite for this session.

Testimonials: “I would like to thank you for our recent woodland bird photo session. I found it really helpful having the hide set up with regular visitors to photograph and your expert advice. People who have seen the photos are very impressed – using your hide and the very well organised scenery made it much easier than it will ever be when I’m out and about! I now have a much better idea for suitable camera settings and I hope to join you again on another course in the future.” Jo Collins

“I thoroughly enjoyed my morning on the woodland birds course. It was fantastic to be able to photograph so many birds from close up in such peaceful settings. The woodpecker and nuthatches were real highlights for me and I have great photographs of both from the morning. Thanks for your tuition and help throughout, I feel much more confident now with my camera. I highly recommend this course to not just photographers but who has an interest in nature.” Brian Surlington
